parenting-that-time-i-lost-my-mind-but-i-found-my-soul

I have written this first blog post a million times already. The reason being is that I feel super pumped. I have so much to share with you that I haven’t known where to start…. So after all the umming and aaahing, I have decided to practice what I preach and live by the golden rule that I have forced on my clients for a decade

Start from the beginning

The beauty with everything that happens in life is that is is a journey, a journey without a clear beginning, nor a clear ending. This means YOU decide where the beginning is!!! – I will keep reverting back to this over our journey together.

This is my journey and I am taking you along for the ride!

I want to help YOU! As you can see on my home page, I have learned, studied, read and basically worked my butt off, but that wasn’t the beginning of THIS. It all started a little while after that actually, when I was pregnant with my eldest. I joined a couple of mommy groups on facebook, most of which I don’t comment on very often, but I read the posts, a lot of them.

Over the past 3 and a half years I have read the same comments over and over again and all of them have the same underlying theme…

Parenting Sucks!

And this is where the cord struck somewhere deep inside of me because I have been there (and sometimes still go there) and I have seen my friends there too.

The reality is, it is not parenting that sucks, it is that we suck at parenting! Struck a nerve maybe?

Allow me to explain myself a little more…

We suck because we take it too seriously, we suck because we compare our children to other children, but most of all we suck because we measure ourselves up against each other.

I want to help you cut the crap and start enjoying this parenting thing. Yes, sometimes it is still going to suck, but the sooner you realize that the sooner you will enjoy it more.

Every morning I wake up, I think to myself “Leigh, today you are going to be Superwoman! – The perfect wife, the perfect business woman and most importantly the perfect mom!” AND without fail every night I go to sleep thinking “Today wasn’t my Superwoman day, but tomorrow definitely will be!” And so the cycle continues.

The reason for this is that Superwoman does not exist but that doesn’t mean that you can’t try and create her every single day. I know I do!

I have some exciting stuff to share with you over the next few weeks and even bigger things when we welcome in 2017. To make sure you don’t miss the exciting things happening make sure you sign up for my newsletter. When you do you will also receive my FREE Conscious Parent Check List, just because I love you!

I want to help you to move closer towards Superwoman status. Creating value in your family creates value in mine. Humans, by nature, are social beings and we need to hold each other’s hands on this journey, after all, “It takes a village to raise a child” – African proverb.

All that’s left for you to do now, is to patiently wait to check your inbox to hear what I have planned for you. In the meantime, head over to Facebook and Twitter to say HI!
